Clouds were appearing and Sayuri sensed the smell of storm. The Inu demon stepped into the hut without speaking a word, sitting down beside Kaede, in front of the snow leopard.
‘I see… and what’s you name?’ – She asked.
Sayuri looked at the stranger closely and listened carefully to the conversation the miko and the youkai were having.

"Tai Chin; of the northern snow leopard tribe," she said. The other youkai walked in and simply watched Tai, which she did not mind. She had similar reactions in other villages. She hoped that the inu youkai would not start something.

Sayuri confirmed her suspects of the demon being a snow leopard once she heard her answer. Kaede nodded softly and looked at her, her eyes showing affliction. Sayuri knew why the miko had that face. The ancient loved to help others and Tai Chin seemed to really care for her sister’s layby. The Inu demon understood the other’s feelings quite well. Although their situations were not the same, the pain and the anxiety they felt were almost the same.
‘I’m sorry Tai Chin,’ – Kaede apologized. – ‘I’ve never heard that name before.’
The miko looked at Sayuri, expecting the dog demon to say something. Sayuri stayed quiet, she didn’t know anything about that disappeared sister and Kaede should know that. But probably Kaede just wanted the Inu youkai to confirm that they did not know anything about Hoshiko.
‘It’s the first time I hear that name.’ – She finally answered.

Tai sighed. This village was a dead end as well. If it were not for the earlier rain, the snow leopard may have found her half-sister's scent and avoided coming to this village all together. Of course, she half expected this result; she's come across it so many times she lost count.
"Thank you anyway," Tai said, standing. "I would ask you to watch out for her, but I know only her name."
